General Information about Graduate Programs
The Master’s and Doctoral Programs will have minimum duration of one (1) and two (2) years and maximum of three (3) and 5 (five) years, respectively, counted from the date of admission. Exceptionally, on the recommendation of the advisor and with the approval of the Committee, the Technical Board of Graduate Studies may grant an extension of time.
In addition to other requirements, students must take courses in the area of concentration or related field of the Program as part of the requirements for the degree. Courses of the area of concentration are those that characterize the field of study of the Program, while courses of the related field are those that do not belong to this field, but are considered desirable or necessary to complete the training of students.
