Graduate Studies

The Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs offered by the Universidade Federal de Viçosa are intended to provide broad and deep scientific and cultural background to students, through the development of research in different fields of knowledge. The UFV currently awards two degrees under the stricto sensu Graduate Programs: The academic and professional master’s program, which will confer the Magister Scientiae (M.S.) degree, and the doctorate program conferring the Doctor Scientiae (D.S.) degree.

International collaboration: Graduate studies

The UFV strongly supports double-diploma agreements with international institutions. In order to be able to enroll in one of our Graduate Programs concomitantly with enrollment in a program offered by another institution, a signed co-tutelage (co-tutelle) agreement is required.
